1. Old town walking tour
Duration around 1,5 hours
During the tour we shall get a plenty of information about the history of Riga and Latvia as well as
information of daily living in Latvia today.
We shall see the opera house, monument of freedom, Jacob's barracks, Saeima-building, Dome
Cathedral, House of Blackheads, Gunpowder tower, Swedish gate, "Three Brothers", Cats' house,
Guild houses...and many other remarkable buildings and places of the history of Riga. After the tour
we will know when, how and where started the history of Riga, who have been conquerors and
maybe we also will understand little bit more of this situation here in Latvia today after finding out
the mysteries of history
2. Riga sightseeing
This is possible to carry out by Your bus or we can take care of it.
Duration is up to You. 1-3 hrs. Also the route can be changed up to Your wishes.
Our sightseeing is also out of ordinary common Riga-sightseeing. We will show You "must" sights
but also much more.
We are going to show You the glorious faces of Riga, old Art nouveau architecture, beautiful green
parks of center, boulevards, National Art museum, National Opera, National Theater, The famous
recreation center Lido, one of the biggest market squares in Europe with famous Zeppelin halls.
Also driving to Mezaparks, the big green district of Riga with the biggest Zoo in Baltic.
After nice facades of center we shall drive to other side of river Daugava and show You what looks
like this other lifestyle in Riga. On a way You can see the most famous Soviet monument in Riga.
It's also possible to meet soviet style districts with huge apartment buildings - not always so nice
and tidy, but it's real life.
These sightseeing tours are easy to change and modify along Your wishes and even go for
shopping to one of our big shopping centers.
3. Jurmala
The largest resort city in The Baltic States and only 20 minutes from Riga.
Duration around 2-4 hrs
On a way to Jurmala we can see one of the biggest water amusement parks in Northern Europe.
Livu Akvaparks is located just next to border of Jurmala by the river Lielupe.
Jurmala has a mild climate, over 30 kilometers of sandy beaches, spas, beautiful architecture,
Kemeri National Park, Ragakapa's nature paths and many interesting places.
There are a lot of events in summer in Jurmala. In the end of July gets a place very famous song
competition "New Wave". There You can see big stars of eastern Europe, limousines and famous
people.
If You prefer to stay in Jurmala enjoying the beach holiday and just visiting Riga, don't worry.
We can handle it and take care of You. Just keep on mind - in sumertime Jurmala is very popular
place and accommodation may not be so easy to find.
4. Sigulda
Duration 4-5hrs. Sigulda is one of the most beautiful cities in Latvia. Sigulda is a beautiful little town
where the nature becomes an integral part of the city. It has many hills for downhill shiing in winter.
Paths and roads for walking, hiking and cycling in summer. There are three historical castles in
Sigulda area including the famous medieval castle of Turaida. In sigulda You can find interesting
caves, cable car over the walley of Gauja, beautiful parks and many more interesting things. Also
wilder experiences are available like vertical wind tunnel Aerodium, bungee jumping, winter
bobsleighing - also in summer, adventure parks Tarzan and Wild Cat. Horse riding is possible, hot
air ballooning, canoeing or rafting on river and many more...
5. Rundale Palace
Rundale Palace is very impressive building in southern Latvia. Design by Rastrelli who also was
designed the winter palace of St. Peterburg in Russia. The palace is the most important baroque
palace in Latvia.The palace was constructed in 1730s as a summer residence of the Duke of
Courland, Ernst Johan von Biron.
6. Rundale Palace and Hill of Crosses in Lithuania
Duration 6-8 hrs. We shall visit the palace of Rundale and driving to Lithuania for visiting the Hill of
Crossess. On that hill there is over 55 thousand of different crosses from tiny little 0,5 meters high
up to 4 meters high.
7. The Nuclear bunker
Around 75 kilometres from Riga in Ligatne there is a Soviet bunker at Skalupes. A huge
underground complex designed to be a control headquarters in the event of a nuclear war. And
the best, almost everything in there are just like before. Interesting experience from Soviet times.
